Yes. For texts of bigger places, cities, etc. Scenic tries to find a translation based on your preferred language list in iOS Settings > General > Language & Region. It starts with the first language in that list; if that translation is not available, it tries the next language, etc. If none of the translations exist, then it will use the original untranslated text. So, to fix this, make sure your preferred language list does not contain any languages you don’t speak, and is in the order you prefer. iOS Settings > General > Language and Region.

My phone is set to English (US), but my brain works in Metric (and I live in Germany). If this is indeed the reason, it would be nice if the in-app setting for Units & Stats would apply to the map itself as well. EDIT: I just checked again, and the Measurement System inside my iOS settings is actually set to Metric as well.

Not trying to start a flame war here, I just think the focus should be on getting info to Guido however we can (a bonus that he can address things in multiple languages) so he can continue to improve things. I doubt you will find a developer more responsive and flexible than he is so complaining about the language is a bit off track IMO.

Same for me - stabilizing with speed limit set to “Always” - but still double display in landscape.

Latest update as a big jump forward for V4, WunderLINQ now opens scenic as it should and it seems the duplicate speeds have gone when you rotate it from portrait to landscape. Haven’t used it yet but hoping to test it out the weekend.
