Map downloads not happening

Unfortunately the new version of Scenic only runs on ios14 and up, so you cant run that on older iPads.

Hmm. In that case I need to check when I’m at my computer later today/tomorrow. The old version of Scenic uses an old map provider that stopped their service. At some point in time they will stop giving map updates. Perhaps that moment arrived but I can’t check now.
Unfortunately the new version of Scenic only runs on ios14 and up, so you cant run that on older iPads.
I’ll report back to here tomorrow with my findings.

Ok. Did some investigation. What’s happening is that most of the map servers have been decommissioned. A few are still working though.
Scenic has a function that chooses a map server to download from at random (To distribute the load on the servers).

My "Offline maps on device" indicated "1" however after I logged out, and logged in again, the map was no longer on the iPad. I had to download it again.

Settings not working might be a problem with your account. Do you also see a blank screen when you tap on your profile picture in the side menu?
