waypoint limit number

Quote from Guido on 13.08.2026, 13:49How long are your routes? I recommend making one route per day. Technically it’s possible to increase this number but it could cause performance problems during route calculation and recalculation during navigation.

Quote from petereis on 13.08.2026, 14:06I’m planning 5000+ km routes for the upcoming holidays. Last time I’ve divided the finished track to daily sessons for better navigation, but I prefer to see it in one piece during the planning period (which is weeks/months long). I’ve discovered that moving wayponts becoms slower around the number ~100, but its not a problem as long as the app does not crash. Maybe increasing the limit could be a hidden debug option. Only swiches it on, who wants to. I’m obsessed with hidden power user methods.

Quote from Mex on 13.08.2026, 14:53Hi petereis.
5000 km in one route is quite long. Any deviation and the recalculating loop wont stop.
I did the Route de Grandes Alpes twice. Just roundabout 700 km. Starting at home and coming back home: 3000 km.
I loaded the route complete. Just to have it and to be sure with planing.
Afterwards i planned each day. We had closed roads (snow, you dont expect that in August 29th), deviations, technical problems. I had to change 3 day trips. Cant imagine to change the complete route, each time murphy‘s law is laughing at you.
Guido is right, every recalculation, each deviation, each closed road will bring Scenic to its limits.Here is an example;
That worked for me, really nice.
So enjoy your trip and ride safe.
Just my 2 cents, Mex

Quote from petereis on 14.08.2026, 02:11Like I’ve said, I’ve divided the finished track to daily sessons for better navigation. The 5000+ km route was never loaded into navigation, it was only used for planning. But for that purpose, It’s easier to overview it in a single peace before heading out.

Quote from Dae on 14.08.2026, 04:03If you just want an overview showing all the routes combined, keep them separate but add in the route folder in the layers setting. This will show all the routes on one map
