When a route is imported from a third-party source, it would make sense to check during import whether it matches the default settings in the route parameters.
For example, if no unpaved sections are selected, all individual unpaved sections should be displayed. Then you can decide whether to accept them or plan an alternative route.
That happened to me, and I wish I'd known about it beforehand.
This could also be applied to other settings, such as ferries or toll.
