unable to plan a route on a dirt road

Guido,

I lead Adventure Bike rides. We ride back roads and dirt roads. Is there any way that scenic will allow me to plan a route that includes these roads.

It will not follow from 1 to 2 on the dirt road. Am I doing something wrong or is this no longer possible?

It's possible that this road is marked as "not accessible for motor vehicles". If that's the case, Scenic won't guide you over it. You can do two things:

Try the mountain bike routing profile (this is more of a workaround)
Fix the map (if this is indeed a map error). It will take some time for your fixes to be available in Scenic though. Here is more info on how to report or fix map errors: https://scenic.app/help/reporting-map-errors/

I had this issue and i found that using motorbike worked, but the slide was set all the way to the right for HWYs. i set it to the middle and it seems to work well for me and started to nav dirt.

But, dirt is not easy to ID on the map. In previous version we could add layers and change the highlighting for dirt. Is this still possible or a possible feature for the future.

At the moment dirt roads are purple or dashed purple with another color. When the map customized returns you will be able to set your own colors.
