Share a route

Quote from Stresspuppy on 17.09.2023, 20:01Before you start navigating, you can send a link to the route you are going to ride. After you finish a ride, you can send a link to the completed ride. Is there anyway to send a link to the planned ride once you have started navigation for that ride?
I try to share the route I’m going to ride with my wife so she has some idea of where I will be going. But many times I forget and want to send her something after I’ve started.

Meanwhile, there is a way to do this.
You can go back to the Home Screen while following a route, and then resume the route afterward. To do this:
- while navigating/tracking, tap the bottom bar (where you see the ETA)
- then tap the pause button and choose "TO START SCREEN". This will bring you back to the start/map screen, but the tracking status is stored and the 'start navigation' button now says 'resume' and is pulsating
- Now you can go to the route and share it, and resume the route again.

You may use Glympse for this., will find it in the app store.
Set settings to:
Always, not just 30 minutes. Thats the default setting.
And hide speed, cause: happy wife - happy life.

I don't see a way to get back to the ride I started. If I go back to that route, it just looks normal and shows "Navigate". Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Quote from Stresspuppy on 18.09.2023, 15:56Thanks Mex. My wife tends to cyber-stalk me using iOS "Find My" so I know she knows where I am (although it doesn't constantly ping her so I'll take a look at the app anyway). What I am after is giving her a view of the route I intend to take just so she has an idea. This only works if I am going on a pre-planned route of course.

Quote from Stresspuppy on 18.09.2023, 16:01I tried to walk down the street a little but obviously not far enough. I'll try going down the block or so (or on my next ride) and see what happens.
Thanks for the tip!
(Looking forward to the new, big update!)
