Scenic misses starting point and drops out

Hi Guido,

I've been using Scenic for several years in Europe and it always worked great, never had any issues. However, since a couple of days I'm using it in South Africa and Scenic doesn't recognize the starting point of a planned route. It tells to go to the route but when I do so, it simply passes the green flag without starting to navigate. No speed, no directions, just a blue dot that follows the track without navigation instructions. Som times it suddenly starts to navigate for a while, but most of the times it will drop out again.

I have re-installed the app, restarted my iPhone(15) several times. I'm using a downloaded map of the area and I'm not using CarPlay.  What is going on here?

Hi Mike,

Haven't changed anything regarding this recently. Should work, but I see it doesn't. Not sure what's going on. Will need to investigate further.
Meanwhile, what options are you using here? Trying the other option might help.

Thank you Guido, I didn't use the guidance to route start. Will try and let you know.

Problem solved! It turned out that a GSP tracker that I use to geotag my photos interfered with Scenic. It had not only connected to my cameras but also to my phone. After I had disconnect the tracker from the phone, Scenic works perfectly.
