Routing Off Major Roads/Interstates

This is a problem that I have only recently seen but it is causing some other issues like many recalculations causing via points to be skipped.
On a major interstate or divided highway in the US, Scenic is routing me to take an exit, only to return back to the interstate. There are no vias or any other reason for the routing. I did an IBA ride last Saturday and missed a via point which nearly caused me to not have enough miles in the ride. I think it was because I was ignoring these random exits and once Scenic determined I was off route it recalculated. I turned off the feature once I realized what was happening.
I only recently started seeing this behavior and the places the routing is trying to take me off the main road make no sense.
The first image below is from a route, the others are from the recorded ride where scenic directed me to exit during the IBA ride. I did not but I guess I was close enough where it recorded my location as being on the exit and on-ramp. This is happening on multiple roads in different states.
I was routed off and back on to a major route yesterday. I’ve seen this behaviour before in earlier versions of Scenic but not recently but then I very rarely ride any distance on major roads to encounter it. Currently I’m using beta 4.42(2)
Route share (short test ride route to try out a potential bike purchase), put together with standard motorcycle routing as shown below. This is my standard routing settings but I don’t typically allow Scenic to determine my routes rather I place vias to shape the route myself. If I change to one click less adventurous the highway deviation is gone.

I just got back from a few days on the road. 4800 miles, several states, from Houston, Texas to Glacier National Park in Montana, and back.
I had this problem fairly often - exit after exit, telling me to get off and get back on - including audible play-by-play to do so. So bad a times that I just abandoned it for another app.
