Most of the time this can be avoided by changing your routing mode. Try setting it to "standard" and faster. (Tap the vehicle icon to adjust your routing preferences).

This is a known issue that I can't really solve short term. I am providing a partial solution that suppresses the VOICE instructions for this in the next update (released by end of next week). When you deviate from your route, Scenic will relentlessly try to guide you back to the first unreached waypoint. If you keep ignoring that, Scenic will keep trying to send you back. There are ways to deal with this. More info here: https://scenic.app/help/detour-behaviour-scenic/
