Petrol stations as POI?
Quote from MLH on 28.10.2026, 23:44I’m off on a trip to Scotland next May. It’d be very handy to be able to have an up to date POI set of data on open petrol stations for the trip - I’m going to Scotland and in some parts it’d be really good to be able to see if I’m going to be near a known to be open petrol station.
I’ve had more than enough of chasing around trying to find petrol stations that clearly have not existed for years (thank you, Garmin…), so fresh info is really important. To that end I have a csv file from https://fuelpricetoday.co.uk/data that includes lat & long co-ords for thousands of petrol stations around the UK, including fuel prices, address, URL etc. My reasoning is that I can refresh the data the day before leaving for my trip, knowing that if the petrol station is reporting prices to there, it’s likely to still exist by the time I’m riding round Scotland!
So is there a way to load the data I currently have in csv format as POI? Or is there a better alternative?

Years ago I did the same with toilets around Europe. I used GPSBabel as you can upload the CSV and then export to GPX, on Scenic you import the GPX into your POIs.
GPSBabel may have changed since I used it last but there are also other tools on the net that allow you to do that
