Low Volume Nav Directions

Have latest version - 3.5?  I don't find where to get the version number.  Nav direction volume SO LOW  can't hear when bike is moving.  Tied touching the speaker pictures (-. + Voice ON/Off).  Can not get nav directions to an acceptable level.  Music is playing.  Apple phone.

In the next few days v3.53 will be released which adds voice volume settings "louder" and "loudest".

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

Hi, I tried the different volume options.

On the loudest option the voice is distorted.

The other options are not loud enough.
Just tried a different App to verify the volume setting.
It was load and clear.

On the old scenic 3.19 the volume was better.

May you can doublecheck it.

Thanks,
Michael

I'll have another look. Other apps might use sound files (don't speak road names). Scenic uses the iOS text-to-speech engine, which has volume limitations. The only way to increase the volume to louder than the music volume is to feed it through an equalizer, which is what I'm doing now. I might be able to adjust the equalizer settings a bit to reduce distortion. I'll have another look at it.

Having said that... louder not being loud enough is not a very common feedback that I get. Perhaps there is also a setting on your helmet com set to increase volume? Also try the other voice mode that Scenic offers: https://scenic.app/help/low-voice-volume/

Try different voices in the iOS VoiceOver settings. After the update to 3.5, I had very low volume voice that sounded like a distorted smurf. Changing the VoiceOver setting in iOS to a different person fixed it.

Tried a different person.

Helena was replaced by Anna.
Problem solved!

Thanks for the suggestion,
Michael
