iOS 27 Carplay Update - Impact on Scenic?
Quote from Marts on 08.06.2026, 19:37Hopefully this is the right place for this. At WWDC this week they've announced changes to Apple Carplay. While the big one is watching video (something that I think is totally unnecessary), just wondering, Guido, if you're following WWDC and what it could mean for Scenic in the future.
Let's say that Apple allows you to design your own Carplay screen, would it require the hardware manufacturers (car makers, carplay units like Chigee, Carpuride, etc.) to update their hardware's firmware, or is it down to simply the app developers to change things?
Note: this is a general post about how Carplay works and how app developers work with it.

Quote from Guido on 08.06.2026, 20:21I haven’t watched the whole thing yet. After that I need to dig into beta version etc. In short… too soon for me to say anything sensible about this.
