Drag and drop of the route

If you like to alter a part of a route, either while riding a route or during planning, you have to set a new via waypoint to recalculate the route.

On the actual BMW Navigator there seems to be a really nice feature (I have not seen it yet personally, but a friend owning an actual BMW Navigator told me), that allows to alter the route by simply putting your finger on the route and dragging on a different road. The route will be recalculated and redrawn immediately.
This feature could be extremely helpful on road closures or traffic jams, or spontaneously to stop by somewhere, or simply if you prefer more curvy roads or more straight roads instead of your current route or route planning.

Would be so much easier compared to working with new additional extra waypoints, and deleting waypoints not to be used anymore.

By the way: As I heard the actual BMW Navigator works with TomTom maps and software instead of Garmin / BaseCamp.

I'll add that to the list too. I've never been a big fan on the "drag route" with finger feature on a mobile phone. It works great on a desktop where you have a small mouse pointer, but on a mobile device where you have to keep your finger on the screen, that finger will block the new route partially. Yes, there are also ways around that (like implementing an offset), but always seems more like a workaround to me. That's why I implemented the planner, with the crosshair the way I did.
