Different route calculation method between points
Quote from DrChris on 04.03.2023, 10:19I would love to be able to calculate part of my route as "curvy" and a different part of my route as "fast". I have not been able to find how to do this so I am submitting this as a feature request. Many of my routes include a portion where I may want to get to a city or starting point quickly, then transition to a "no highways, curvy" mode. My wife and I love using your app while driving my 911 Carrara S Cab! Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your consideration.

Quote from Guido on 04.03.2023, 10:39Unfortunately this is not as easy. Scenic’s routing algorithm only supports one routing mode at the moment.
What I recommend for the moment is:
(1) Plan your route in the power planner. Set start, end and stops and then generate curvy route between it. Then delete/move/add via points to get the route that you want.
(2) Plan your route on Kurviger.de. They do support multiple routing modes (if you have their pro plan). Then use the ‘send to Scenic’ button on their site and upon import Scenic will add via points in order to get as close as possible to the route as designed. Here’s more info on Kurviger import: https://scenic.app/help/ways-sources-to-import/

Quote from johansw on 04.03.2023, 13:33I do make loong routes at times and use method 1, starting with the route type selection (e.g. curvy or fast) which represent the longest part of my route.
It gives me good control as the shorter part of my route is quick and easy to change to my liking 🙂
