Can you access the folder? Also on the folder where the speed cameras are in it? (My poi groups) can also be deleted by tapping on the corresponding poi group in the folder for a longer time without opening the respective poi group, a menu will then appear with delete, move, select all. Even if something is wrong with the data, it shouldn’t crash. It should give you a warning. So, probably a bug. If you want, could you please send me an email with the data you are trying to add? Then ill try on my side.

I already knew big POI groups caused some performance problems, but after some deeper analyses today I know more:

At some point (some zoom level), the map frameworks starts to load ALL markers of ALL active (=turned on in the 'show on map' selector) POI groups in memory , even when the map is not in an area where POIs are. This causes a huge spike in memory (RAM) usage. iOS does not like those big spikes... and kills the app.

This is the reason for both issues mentioned in this thread. Because also when creating the map thumbnail in the 'My POI Groups' list view, the markers are loaded.

Unfortunately this is not an easy fix. It's a bug in the map framework. I'll have to report this to the map provider and they have to fix it. Or I'll have to build my own solution for this. Probably the latter is the fastest. In any case it will take some time.

Very sorry I haven't got any better news, but for now this is it. Meanwhile I recommend to deactivate these big POI groups in the 'show on map' layer selector.

I have the same problem. I had to reinstall scenic, fortunately it deactivated the poi group so I am able to use scenic. However I cannot acces 'locations' in the menu. While loading it crashes so it's impossible to delete the poi group.

OK. I have removed this POI group for you. Could you close Scenic completely through the app switcher. Then reopen, and see if it works now?
