Trying to share a ride and getting an error, any server or app issues?

Problem persists, am I the only one? @guidomm

I’ve just tested and can create a link with no problem

That’s weird, it still doesn’t work for me, tried multiple trip but same error.

@guidomm the problem persist, despite using the iOS feature to offload the app which deletes the app but keeps it’s data and reinstalling it, the problem is still present.

If I delete the app completely do I lose my planned rides or subscription?

Hi Kev,

If it’s just one route it might be that the route data is corrupt. However if it’s more routes, then probably Scenic can’t connect to the server.

Check if you have a VPN or security software running.

A VPN, a security app like AVAST, NORTON, McAfee, etc, Or maybe some kind of configuration profile is active.
Where to check
Settings → General → VPN & Device Management (on older iOS: Settings → General → Profiles). That screen lists every installed VPN, DNS, content-filter, MDM, and configuration profile. Anything there that you don't recognize — especially a VPN, DNS, or "management" profile — is a prime suspect.
Also look at:
Settings → VPN (top level) — is a VPN toggled on?
Settings → Wi‑Fi → (your network) → Configure DNS — set to Automatic, or a custom filtering DNS?
Best regards,
Guido
If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

@guidomm using ios app, no vpn no security software, the error is with all routes, i even created a new route to test and see if it could have been within an app update but the error stays no matter what.. i have checked all your suggestions but problem persist

Can you try disconnecting from WiFi (use cellular data)?

@guidomm it’s the only thing I didn’t think of… Bingo! I have 2 networks here, tested on cellular and second network and all is good, now I know one of the routers is somehow blocking it despite not having issues before on that particular network, i’ll look into that. Great find! Thanks!
