controller does not work with carplay
Quote from Middelfrangge on 07.02.2025, 00:41Hi,
I received my MotiveMonkey controller yesterday and it works well with my Iphone15, however it does not work at all as soon as I use my Carplay display.
Is there a specific setting that I have missed?
Regards
Thomas

It’s very limited with CarPlay. Only zoom in / zoom out but I’ve not implemented that yet in Scenic 4.
More info about the limitations here: https://scenic.app/help/handlebar-controllers/?seq_no=2
Sorry if that was not very clear. If you want to control CarPlay you’ll need a controller that is supported by your CarPlay unit.
Best regards,
Guido

zoom in/out and moving the map would be sufficient but I did nit know that its not yet implemented. Moving should work as far as I know even Carplay is limited.
BTW, is there an option to leave the phone display one when using carplay? that would allow some more options using the menue on the screen of the phone.

Quote from Guido on 07.02.2025, 11:26I'll have the zoom and pan implemented for the next update (early next week).
When a remote control is connected, the black "Scenic active on CarPlay" screen will stay ON (this is necessary to catch the signals from the remote).
It's on my list to add some key handy features on that screen, but that's going to take a while.
