Hi Guido. This time I have something I would like to ask  at the forum.

Just received the W702 standard device. Need for that easy to explain, My iPhone 13 pro display turns black even in "regular sunny days". Hope the W702 helps.

No familiar with the W702 yet, but found something can't explain. Apple carplay running, scenic is displayed on the device. Iphone display turns black. Ok. But no selection of my routes displayed on  the W702. Is this intended?

Means. First select route, the activate Apple carplay.

Do not pair the Cardo with the Carpuride.

Pair the Cardo with the Phone.
Pair the Carpuride with the Phone.

This way, you can use your phone with the intercom when the carpuride is not present / powered on. It's also better sound quality.

if your iPhone turns black, you still have your screensaver on, that need to be turned off. You can start the route before connecting to carpuride or using the carplay functions. As Guido wrote, carpuride is just a Carplay display thats it - you need to follow the instructions of scenic how to use carplay.

 

I do have as well aCarpuride 702 in combination with an iPhone 15 and Cardo Packtalk edge. As explained before, do not connect your Cardo with Carpuride, it is sufficient if it is connected with your phone.

1. Carpuride is connected to my  older IPhone 11 via wifi AND Bluetooth! Strange?!

2. When I start Scenic the display on the Iphone displays „map is displayed on Carpuride“! Is back on the the Iphone ss soon as I close scenic on Carpuride!

3. Same story with OSMAND!

4. Different with calimoto. Map is displayed on Iphone AND Carpuride.

There must be something odd in the settings, either Carpuride, Iphone, Scenic, OSMAND.

Might almost impossible to get down to the reason.

Will check for other users in my biker Community (United Bikers Koblenz).

What you should see is the Carpuride connect via Bluetooth then once connected the Carpuride creates a wi-fi connection to the iPhone, then the Bluetooth connection is disconnected.

Guess something is deeply wrong with the way how I did the setting. Don‘t get the audio established.
Not only a scenic issue. It is the case with OSMAND, Calimoto, Google Maps as well. But also with the Android Samsung S 20 5G and OSMAND.

BT Trans Mode: Connect the Bluetooth headset to the Carpuride device, please delete the Bluetooth headset connection record from your phone to avoid simultaneous connection, which may cause improper working issues.
iPlay/Auto Mode: Connect the Bluetooth headset to your phone, please delete the Bluetooth headset connection record from the Carpuride device to avoid simultaneous connection, which may cause improper working issues.

Note: Bluetooth headsets can also be replaced with Bluetooth helmets, intercoms, Bluetooth speakers, etc.
So on my bike
iPhone Bluetooth + Wifi is connected to the Carpuride.....
iPhone bluetooth connected to helmet headset....

This way the sound is directly from the iPhone to the helmet, the Carpuride is just being used as a display and control unit.
You can turn the Carpuride off and music will continue to play, if I want it to pause I can select that on the Carpuride or
I just press pause on my helmet headset.

I this this method stops a lot of issues with three elements, iPhone > Carpuride > Helmet all getting a connection at the same time.
So
Iphone > Capuride
Iphone > Helmet

Also using this method you can use "Hey Siri" to change music answer phone etc...

Hi Guido, first if all you are doing a great job!
I am using scenic on a CarPlay system and should be perfect to have the possibility to modify the route on your phone (is easy and quickest than the carplay device).
