Add strange loops.
Quote from Muddypaws on 24.03.2025, 12:22I’ve been using the free version of scenic for years perfectly with never any problems. I bought the premium version and now I’m having problems. I made a route like I normally do and once I start the route and I’m on the road it added in strange loops, constantly making me want to turn left and turn right and just to loop back on the road I’m on. I haven’t changed the way. I’m making roots, I make sure the points are on the road.
thanks.

Quote from Guido on 24.03.2025, 12:33Are you hearing the recalculation sound a lot? If so, I think it's trying to guide you back to a missed waypoint...probably the route start point. Could you have a look here: https://scenic.app/help/start-a-route-in-the-middle/

Quote from Muddypaws on 25.03.2025, 16:34Yes it was recalculating, now that I’m thinking about it where my house is on the map where I started it is not really on the road so what I’ll do is I’ll try making the start actually on the road. Thank you and I’ll update you

I keep seeing two routes on CarPlay but this time I stopped and zoomed out and for some reason its adding a loop, if you don't zoom you think its trying to take you in two directions. You can see I've passed 11 heading to 12 but it wants to do this loop, I'm getting to the point I don't trust it, good job I knew where I was going.

Quote from Guido on 27.04.2025, 12:32It looks like it’s sending you back to an earlier waypoint. Could it be you missed a waypoint earlier in the route? This can also be the route start. When this happens again, try the skip waypoint button (bottom-right second button) it will tell you what the first unreached waypoint is. And/or you can turn on automatic skipping.

Maybe I'm missing something here?
What the option for "If I've missed a waypoint take me to the next nearest waypoint on the route"?

Quote from Guido on 27.04.2025, 14:36The auto-skip option will do that, but be careful with it. The footer texts in the detour behaviour settings will explain in more detail.
