viewing route so far whilst riding

When using 'START RIDE' option to follow a journey, is there any way of looking at the route so far without finishing and saving the ride, please (ie. just pause the route and see where you have been)?

Double tap the map and tap the overview button.

Or, go to the navigation menu (big button menu) and tap the 'overview' button.
