If I understand correctly, your main purpose would be to charge your telephone, and you don't need to be guided to this additional stop. If so, you can pause the navigation and choose 'GPS OFF'. To do this, tap the bottom bar (where you see time/distance to destination), and then the pause button. Then choose 'GPS OFF'. This will turn off the GPS and pause the ride tracking. Battery consumption will be much less now, and you can put your phone away. Then, once you are ready to leave your additional stop, resume the ride.
If your purpose is to not save batter, but just add stops, you can double-tap the map. This will take you to edit mode, where you can add additional stops.

Scenic should pause navigation automatically, without pressing any button, and continue after the break, but dont shut the app. The duration to go into pause mode should be set in the settings, afaik.
When you procceed Scenic will continue to navigate. May take 25 to 47 yards.

Scenic wird automatisch die Navigation pausieren, auch ohne eine Taste zu drücken und nach der Pause automatisch weiter navigieren. Ausser man schließt die App. Die Dauer ließ sich in den Einstellungen verifizieren.
Sobald es weiter geht startet Scenic wieder. Dauert so: 20-40 Meter.
