Turning off Notifications?

Today I went for a ride. Set Scenic to take me to the destination. But when I set off it started giving me directions, something that I don't use as I personally find it distracting (same for all Nav apps).

It didn't do this before today. In the settings there is no option to turn them off. Best that I can do is to set them to beeps and to have a lower or softer sound, no muting.

Has something changed? Or is the mute function elsewhere? Under iOS settings and notifications Scenic doesn't even show in the list of apps that can have notifications turned on or off or changed.

It’s in the navigation / big button menu. There you can toggle between sound off, alerts only or sound on. The setting is remembered between rides. Nothing changed. Maybe you accidentally turned it on in the past?

You can turn off notifications by tapping on the speaker symbol in navigation mode.

Thanks Guido. I don't know how I might have activated it as Scenic is only ever used in CarPlay. I'll have to check the screen on the Chigee AIO-5 Lite to see if the mute button is present there. If it isn't I'll deactivate it on the phone's screen itself.

Yes… it’s also available on CarPlay.

Thanks. Found it on Carplay in the car. Hopefully the Chigee's implentation of it is the same.
