Turning instruction too early
Quote from Hein_38 on 23.05.2025, 00:20Hello Guido,
I noticed the following in a planned route (with Shapingpoints):
I drive to a cross of the road where I should turn left. This will also be announced in good time. Now I stand at the intersection and have to wait because of oncoming traffic. Now it is announced that I should turn right (without a meter indication). This next intersection to the right is about 150 meters away. So the turning instruction comes too early.
On "Frequency of voice announcements" it is set:
not active 1. Announcement
not active 2. Announcement
Active 3. announcement +/- 300 m
Active last announcement +/- 50 mGreetings Heinrich

Could you check if you have "extrapolate position" enabled? (Settings > Finetuning). This setting "predicts" your location after 1 second based on your speed and heading. It's possible that, because of this, it already thought you turned, and thus gave you the next turn instruction.
This setting is meant to counteract any lag in the current position indicator, but it has some side effects, as you noticed.
Best regards,
Guido
