Touring Stil in Version 4.17
Quote from Rhoenhulk on 14.04.2025, 05:54Hallo,
Autobahn" WAS macht der ???
Gruss AndreeHello,
This is a problem I can't quite pinpoint!
I've been trying for almost three weeks now to figure out which "tour style" best suits my route planning. In version 3, it was still easy and worked well.
Now... let me put it this way: "It's difficult."
For example, in the "Standard" style, the slider "Adventurous......Motorway" WHAT does it do???
I have to set it to one above Adventurous, only then does it exclude motorways, then takes me through every church square in towns, and then often in towns via "residents only" roads instead of choosing the "normal" through-town route. If I push it more toward the motorway, it takes motorways, but it's a little better in towns.
The rest is winding, winding fast, and beautiful... nice to have, but hardly usable for planning.
There used to be "Fast" with the option to avoid motorways, which worked perfectly! I wish it was back!Best Regards Andree

The routing algorithm is unaware of a small road is in an urban environment or outside the urban environment.
The best thing to do / what I recommend:
- Try some settings to get the route as close to what you want.
- Then add/move/delete via points to shape the route further
If you’d like to go fast, avoiding highways, you can use the car routing. This still has that option.
