Without the dampener, the blue mount screws into the ball. With the dampener the dampener will screw in the hole where the blue mount used to screw into... and the blue mount will screw onto the dampener.

If you want to be 100% sure...best to ask Quad Lock.

I already sent Quad Lock a mail with pictures. For the beginning I can mount the parts I have and see how looks like.

There ist one thing that disturbes me. When I mounted the case to my iPhone the display protection was lifted at the edges, because the case is so tight around the corners. First I thought I didn't put on the protection glass exactly in the middle. Then I used another glass and it was the same. The corners were lifted by the case. So I ruined two glasses now.

Guido, are you using any protection on your 12 pro display? If yes, what kind? I guess I have to look for a protection glass which is slightly smaller on the egdes.

Nice setup Thomas. I don't use any glass protection on my iPhone. Never have to be honest. I think the gorilla glass is very strong by itself. Never had any problems nor scratches, but I do take care not to put my telephone in my pocket with my keys and such.

I bought a cheap GPS mounting bar of AliExpress, which mounts to the screen. On the bar I attached the QuadLock using the standard handlebar mount. On the mount I have the Quad Lock vibration dampener and on top of that I have the Quad Lock Motorcycle Wireless Charging head (not the car one).

As you can see this whole construction sticks out quite a bit, and as you can imagine it vibrates a lot more than the setup on my previous bike (directly to the handlebars in stead of the screen) due to the longer 'arm'.

However, I have now ridden almost 1500 km with this setup and so far no damage to my phone. I believe this is because of the vibration dampener.  Even though I can see the windscreen vibrating quite a bit at higher speed, the phone stays relative still. Not as still as it did on my old bike with the old setup, but still readable at every speed.

you just have to remove the Centre screw from the mount. Then you’ll be able to separate the two parts and change the blue lever.

After changing the lever screw the parts together...finished.

I have an iPhone 8, so no image stabilization issues. I ran this mount on my Vstrom and even transferred it to my DR650 for a 500 mile gravel/off-road ride. The mount held up superbly and kept my phone battery charged up nicely. The only change I’ve made since this video is to extend the wiring from the charging coil to the circuit board and waterproof it better with some adhesive lined heat shrink tubing.

I’ve since created a similar mount that snaps directly to the handlebars of my DR650 and rests atop the handlebar clamps. I’ve been over some very rough terrain and it’s held up well with no issues.
