Suppress alerts when navigating

I’d assumed this was default behavior or switchable but on a recent 4 day trip I was getting hammered with all manner of notifications (calendar events, WhatsApp, slack, messages, etc).   I probably didn’t notice this before because I usually ride on weekends when alert traffic is light but this was vacation when the rest of the world was busy doing work things 🙂

Can Scenic suppress alerts?   Even Do not Disturb mode didn’t seem to stop them!

Scenic (nor any other app) can suppress these. But have a look at your iOS Settings > Focus section. There you can adjust what notifications make it through. There’s also a driving mode which can be activated automatically if you want.
