Speed Cameras not available

Hi Guido,

I'm quite new to Scenic (actually I'm testing out what navigation-app to use, but Scenic seems to make the deal 😉 )
On the settings is said, that speed camera warnings are re-integrated due to change of service by middle of 2025 - but still nothing available.

I'm from Austria, so maybe that's a country-issue?

Hi Axel. Speed cameras will be available in the fall. I hoped and expected it would be ready in July, but had to spend an unexpected high amount of time on bug fixing, user support and quick win enhancements this season, leaving little time to work on a big feature like this. And during summer holidays, my family also needed some attention. Hope you understand.

Hi Axel,

brings up a good point - and no its not yet there - but be aware that Austria is one of the very few countries in Europe, where speed camera apps are allowed. There was a recent publication by the German ADAC listing almost all countries in Europe and their regulations.

There is a fine line between a radar detector, an app warning with the exact position of the cam and apps where an approximate warning zone is shown.

And as always, everyone needs to define whats right or wrong for oneself and live with any consequences this might have
