Skipping vias
Quote from GHJ on 03.12.2024, 07:02Hi Guido,
The improvements in 4.06 are promising, thanks for the great work!
Last weekend I drove a route with only a few via points as support. Halfway I left the route to look around at a view point. I had auto-skip vias turned on (after 4 recalculations). Back on the route the navigation support had disappeared. All following vias had been skipped, the light purple line was still there without a direction. That is not very helpful.
Is it possible to set the auto-skip so that only vias within a short distance, e.g. 1 km, are removed?
Greetings, Geert-Henk

Quote from Guido on 03.12.2024, 07:12Scenic had a setting like that in the past. The problem with such a setting is that that distance can be different for each route, depending how far the distance between via points is. How about turning on the setting to ask to confirm a (auto) skip? That’s already available.

Below are my thoughts and how I envision the function on my previous suggestion :
The Route Editing Function could include the following features:
1.Easily Accessible Button:
•A single button that, when clicked, could display a structured list of all journey points, including:
•Start
•Stops
•Vias
•End
2.Visual Indicators:
•Completed stops and vias could be highlighted in green (or similar) for visual clarity.
•Stops and vias could be visually distinguished using different icons, labels, or color schemes.
3.Interactive and Selectable Points:
•Each point in the list could be selectable, allowing users to:
•Skip specific points.
•Modify or re-navigate to a specific point on the fly.
4.Drag-and-Drop Reordering:
•Users could drag points (start, stops, vias, or end) within the list to dynamically reorder their journey.
