Situation: I’m on a trip in UK and Scotland. As I knew that the update to V4 will happen during my trip, I had two iPhones on the bike. One was with V3.66 and the other one was updated to V4 in the morning of October 1st.
Observations:
1. The V4 map looks busier than the Here (V3.66) map, bit at the other hand it shows relevant details at more practical zoom levels.
2. The routes I planned on V3.66 (10 via/stops) worked perfectly well on V4. Not a single change was required.
3. Although both devices had IMHO the same settings, V4 sent me in 2 different cities through a Low Emission Zone, while V3.66 routed me around the LEZ.
4. V4 constantly indicates on top of the screen local road names e.g Samson Road or Hemingway Roundabout while V3.66 states more useful street names (for non-locals) such as A90.
5. I set the Units and Stats setting to km/h while.being in the UK. No problem for V3.66 which shows max and current speed in km/h, but V4 shows me not only the max speed and current speed in km/h, but also the same for mph. That means I have 4 speed indicators on the routing screen.
6. Besides the issue mentioned above, my actual speed switches every few seconds to a value of zero and a few seconds later indicates the real speed. This goes on during the whole journey.
7. Last but not least, when having the iPhone with the already started route in my hand in a vertical way and turning the device to horizontal, the screen starts to flash several times. The same when I turn it back from horizontal to vertical.IMG_0015IMG_0015
