Scenic tries to retrace route

I am having issues when riding a route. I stop for a break with the group and when I restart the route it tries to retrace the route and is trying to get me to chuck u turns for over 400 klms.
What am I missing?

Do you stop Scenic completely during the break, and the restart the route again? If so, make sure to toggle this button when you restart the route, so that it won't guide you back to the route start point:
