Scenic 3 auto-pausing and not auto-resuming...

Hi -

I hope someone can help me!

I've been using Scenic since I started riding about a year ago, and it's been absolutely brilliant - so first of all, well done to the creator!

However, since the recent upgrade to Scenic 3 (I'm now on 3.05) it doesn't work at all and I don't know how to fix it. If I put in a location it'll issue the preliminary voice instruction and then auto-pause shortly afterwards (because inevitably it takes me a minute or two to get my gloves on and set off). It then never auto-resumes, so I get no instructions for the whole journey.

A similar thing happens when I select, say, Map/Record Ride for a free journey - unbeknownst to me, it pauses quickly and when I arrive at my destination, I discover I 'can't save the ride because it was too short' and if I can save it, I end up with a crazy recorded ride that says I took hours and didn't go anywhere! (See below for a sample screenshot.)

Finally, there's an information button that says 'Ride tracking is auto-paused when no movement is detected for 2 minutes. Auto-Pause can be turned off in settings.' But I'm damned if I can find that setting anywhere!

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!

Hi Giler,

Being able to turn off auto-pause in settings still needs to be added. Sorry about that. Will add that in next update.

it not auto-resuming is a bit strange. Does scenic have ‘always’ location access? (Check in iOS settings app > Scenic)

No - it was set to 'allow while using'.

Now fixed, I think. Many thanks for your help. And again - great app!
