Same route, different arrival times and distance
Quote from Jaap326 on 24.03.2025, 04:50My buddy and I both use scenic when we ride together. The strange part is that when we both use the exact same route, there is a difference in kilometers and arrival time. How is this possible?
Thanks,
Jaap

A few things to check:- How big is the difference?
- Is at least one of them correct / realistic
- are you running the same scenic version?
- do you have the same routing modes selected?
- do you have the same detour behaviour settings?

I planned a route recently and my offline map update had paused without me realising. Me wife’s was up to date. My slightly older version had an error and did a 5 mile detour to pass by a 10 metre stretch of road it incorrectly believed didn’t exist. Hers was accurate.
Once I updated we both got the same time and distance. We always use the same routing preferences, so knew that wasn’t an issue, but there was a good 10 minutes or so of head scratching due to not knowing my map update hadn’t completed
