Safety Camera Distance Customization
Quote from blackhawk1618 on 01.05.2024, 09:05Hello Guido,
I wanted to request a feature for enhancing the user experience of Scenic app. When I enabled the safety camera feature while using the navigation, though this feature is incredibly useful but I have noticed a inconvenience. In my country, safety cameras are quite densely placed along both city streets and highways. This means that I often receive warnings for safety cameras in quick succession, sometimes every kilometer or even less frequently. These frequent warnings can be a bit distracting, and they take up a lot of space on my phone screen.
I was thinking it would be fantastic if users could customize the distance at which they receive safety camera warnings. This way, users like myself could adjust the warning distance based on our preferences and driving environments.
Thank you for considering my suggestion. I am eager to hear any updates or progress on this feature request.

Unfortunately it's not possible at the moment. The HERE map framework that Scenic uses does not have configuration options for this yet. I've opened a ticket with them to add this feature. As soon as they do, I will add it to Scenic too. But, knowing HERE, this could take a while.
