Routing back to start after resume

Not sure if this was something wrong that I did or a possible bug… In the picture below it shows I started my route in the city of Winchester. When I started the route I saw that it confrimed I reached the starting point and I progressed for quite a while with no problem.

Then when I eventually stopped for a break and then started again, Scenic prompted me if I wanted to Resume the ride. After selecting to resume, I continued but I didn’t notice for some time that I was not on the original route.

You can see from the picture I should have been going toward marker #1 but instead the blue line and navigatoin prompts were taking me all the way back to the Start point. I'm currenty shown heading south but you can see from the blue line that it wants me to go back up to the starting point then back down the same road then East once get near Richmond ... I only noticed this near Richmond and turned to head South to correct.

This is the second time this has happened to me on a route and I’m not sure what is going on. Any ideas are appreciated.. thanks.

I have heard this issue before, but so far I’ve not been able to pinpoint the issue. This seems to happen only under certain circumstances, but I don’t know exactly what it causes.

For the big update I’m working on, I have rewritten the entire navigation code, including the code handeling pausing and resuming navigation. This issue should be addressed by that. At least it has not occurred during beta testing so far.

Hoping to release the big update in October.

Hi,

I had this issue three times too, on our actual trip. As far as I noticed, it occurs, when making a longer stop without stopping navigation.

Yesterday we had a ride about 270km, after about 170km we made a stop to eat and drink something, it lasts about 45 minutes. When going on with the ride, I was asked if I want to continue navigation, I pressed yes and after that Scenic wants me to route to the starting point. I had to stop my ride, stop navigation and had to load my planned route again, and started navigation from the nearest point, after that it continued routing from my position to end.
