Routes always differs after sharing

Hi,

please help me out with this issue.

after creating a route on my device and sharing it with my wife, both routes always differs.

any suggestions in what I’m doing wrong?

Habt ihr überprüft, dass rechts unten auf dem Motorrad alles gleich eingestellt ist?

Das musst du meiner Meinung nach sicherstellen.

How are you sharing the route? Through Scenic?

Do you both have the same Scenic version, and do you both have the latest offline maps. Do you also have the same routing settings configured?

My wife and I share routes through Scenic every time we ride as we take it in turns to plan. Last week we had a discrepancy between our routes in Scenic, but it turned out my offline map update had paused rather than completed. In the slightly older version of the map I had there was an error where it thought a road had a break in it, so routed me around, whereas my wife’s latest map update knew that in fact it was a continuous straight road. As soon as my map update finished we were back in agreement.

I share the route via the export gpx option. I’m sure we’re having the same version of Scenic and the offline maps. Maybe it’s the route settings let me check.

Have you tried sharing using the native Scenic sharing?
We use that, as it means any changes made by the owner of the route are reflected in the other person’s Scenic. It means if we make changes we don’t have to go through the whole sharing process to update the other person.
