Route syncing

Hi Guido,

there also seems to be an issue synching routes between different devices.
I recently created a big 2 day route for a desert trip to Lake Havasu. I then duplicated the route and saved a smaller Day 1 and another Day 2 version of it. I shared the Day 1 with my friend but later on made modifications on my MBP for Day 1.
When I shared the modified route from my MBP with him again, it said he had the route already (the modifications where missing on his device). He then deleted the route for Day 1 and used my share link to get the latest version. Not so much as he hit an error stating something like invalid route ID.

Meanwhile I tried to lookup the modified Day 1 on my iPhone and it too was missing all changes I made on the MBP. Tried to update by pulling down on the routes folder and even made another edit on the MBP to make sure the route would propagate. Nothing worked until I duplicated the modified route on the MBP. That duplicate would show up on my iPhone and the link I shared with my friend also worked.

Something similar happened on Day two when I made some tweaks on my iPad at night. My iPhone would have the changes, but the route I shared with my friend prior to the changes would not get them on his device. He deleted the route and when using my prior link or a new one I texted him, he would always get invalid route ID. Had to duplicate the route again calling it Day 2 New and then he could add it to his routes.

Just wondering Guido if when you post something like the above, you could include the version number of that next update so that anyone reading this thread will be easily able to check whether or not the version they have includes the fix for the problem under discussion.
