Road Block Function
Quote from KM on 24.10.2024, 03:20Although having Scenic for a while, I've never used this function and can't find in the Help or the Forum exactly what it is supposed to do.
In the past, with Version 3, if I have encountered a road block, I've just veered off the route, with the map zoomed out, and Scenic has sent me back to the route in an efficient way.
Yesterday with Version 4 I did this as usual and Scenic kept trying to take me back to the same blocked road.
Frustrated, I pressed the roadblock button to see what it did expecting to be rerouted around the blocked road but, Scenic changed the colour of the next section of the route but still kept sending me back to the blocked junction even though I was picking may way collaterally back to the original route.
I pressed road block a couple more times on my way home to see what it did but all it did was change the route colour to the next stop / via point.
Is it supposed to do something other than change the colour ?
Apart from this Version 4.03 worked well.

It's supposed to exclude the roads you tap on (the roads are given a different color) from the navigation, and calculated a new route with these road stretched avoided.
I'll have a look.Best regards,
Guido

There is no route recalculation and you have to make your own way.
Is this still on the ToDo pile ?

Quote from Guido on 13.12.2024, 12:32Yes. This is still on the Todo list. I had to move it down the list a little bit, as this is not a heavily used feature, and other things are/were higher priority.
I won't forget though.
