Retard sur guidage
Quote from Stef32 on 16.02.2025, 03:20Salut Guido,

Hope that a replay in English is OK?
Regarding the lag, try to enable “extrapolate position”, under Settings > Finetuning. Currently this places you 1 second “in the future”, based on your speed and heading. I want to make this a bit smarter in the future by snapping it to the road network.
I have already started working on the map customizer, but this is quite a lot of work. I imagine it will be a few more weeks before it’s ready and tested.
Best regards,
Guido

Quote from Fred_Moto25 on 18.02.2025, 01:14Hi Guido,
I tried the latest V4.13 version and it's still (as 4.09/4.10/4.11) having a huge delay/gap between your actual position and where it's displayed on the map, leading to an information arriving too late to be followed
With the magic button "extrapolate position", it's a little bit better, still positionned too late (crossing roads arriving on GPS when actually crossed by 50 m vs 100 m w/o magic button), but in addition, even on a straight road the position is showing curves like hell, put you 3/4 meters out of the road to the right, suddenly crossing your road to the left ... you got it, it's really disturbing and it does not work properly.
Sorry for this negative feedback when considering the huge workload to get to 4.13, but I think Scenic GPS behaviour not trustable is the main issue to be solved urgently
(Second huge issue is the radar position as it's just not possible to use a motorbike GPS w/o this feature in Europe, too risky/costly _ 10/20 times the price of the GPS at the first traffic offense, much more after !! Read that this feature formerly forecasted end February 25 is now reforecasted end semester 1 , i-e after the motorbike season is started which is not an option)
Hope you would understand and find solutions quickly, still supporting...

The speed cameras are next on the list, after I bring back the map customizer.
Best regards,
Guido

Quote from Atticuscat on 19.02.2025, 10:40I’ve just been out for a ride and paid more attention to this position lag than I have before. I’m not seeing a huge difference between actual position and reported position, maybe 10 or 20 metres at 50 mph (80km/h). I deliberately turned off extrapolate position for this. iPhone X and 4.13. I’ll try to remember to do the same with Google Maps next time I’m out.
