Recalculation of a tour fails in special situations

When I use scenic with deactivated GPS on iOS to calculate a route, it takes the last known GPS position to calculate the route. So far so good.

If I activate my GPS at another position than the last one, scenic tells me to go to the route (to the starting point?) and is unable to route me, instead of updating the new starting point and recalculating the route. I have to quit scenic, restart it, let it find me, reenter the destination, let it calculate the route to be able to start my route.

My question is: Would it make sense, that scenic checks the current position always before starting the route? If it differs from the starting point in the calculated route, it recalculates the route with the current position and then starts the routing. This way the routing starts always from the current position.

I'm assuming you are activating GPS after you selected the route for navigation, correct?
What I recommend is to activate your GPS BEFORE you select the route for navigation. Scenic, by default, will include navigating from your current position to the route start point. It determines your current location at the moment you select the route for navigation and the route is calculated.

Hope this helps.

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️
