Random off-route road segments highlighted as route

This weekend, I used Scenic to plot me a curvy route from where I live near Nimes in France to Barcelonnette and the col de Parpaillon. It was an absolutely amazing ride.
But two things in Scenic cause me some stress from time to time:
- In a loop trip, when you can see the way there and the way back on the screen, it's often impossible to tell which way to go. I've posted about this before, not sure if something has been done, but it's a major source of stress. Particularly at the start when trying to find your way to the route and you can see the way there and the way back and it's impossible to tell which route to join because you have no guidance instructions at this point. In my case, there was also a section 1/4 way around the loop when I could see the way there and back at the same time, and it's very confusing.
- For some reason, while navigating, Scenic is highlighting random off-route road segments in the route colour. I've given some examples of this below. This is a major issue while navigating as often, at intersections, side roads are highlighted and it's impossible to tell which one is the real route and which is fake. Often you have to look at the guidance direction to tell which one is real. With a glance at the map, you see conflicting instructions and it's quite stressful.

1) There are some small arrows in the route itself but they might be too small. I’ll see what I can do to improve this, either by making the arrows bigger or giving the active (or first) route segment a different color. Although I’m not sure that would help in this case since you’ve not joined the route yet. I’ll give it some thought.
2) There are 2 solutions to this: 1) Give the route a different color (Settings > Colors & Style) or 2) Creare a custom map style giving unpaved roads a different color: https://scenic.app/forum/topic/scenic-4-custom-map-styles/#postid-12240

I think the bigger arrows and different colour for outbound and inbound route segments would be very helpful but especially the different colour for identifying the route that you need to join at the start.
