Put a tank stop to a planned route
Quote from massi on 01.09.2022, 16:44Hi,
I have some difficulties with inserting a tank stop to an existing, planned route. How is theright method to find e.g. a gas station around the route and make a navigation to it?
I tried it and got some strange routings.
Thanks and regards

I'm assuming you want to do this while navigating? If so, while navigating, double tap the map to go to edit mode. Then center the map to the location where about you want to add the gas stop. Then tap the search button at the bottom and select 'fuel'. The search result will contain all gas stations in a 10km radius of the map center. Per default you get a list, but you can also choose to show the results on the map by tapping the 'map' button on the top right. When shown on the map, you can simply tap a search results and choose to add it to the route.
Hope this helps/explains?
Cheers,
Guido

The problem with asking Siri, which uses Apple Maps, is that it has no idea which direction your route is headed. So it will give you options that are way off route, or gas stations you’ve passed miles ago.
Thank you Guido. 👍

I will add that to the list. Until that time, the workaround is to disconnect from CarPlay temporarily, add the stop to the route as explained above, and then reconnect CarPlay. I know this is not ideal, but perhaps it will work for you for the time being. Cheers, Guido

Quote from mfeske on 20.09.2022, 08:15I would also like to plan the route accordingly with a tank stop. So the target for the round or route is 390 kilometers and after 200 kilometers a gas station.
