Offline Karten update

Natürlich ist die Downloaddauer vom aktuellen Zugriff (Bandbreite Server) sowie von der eigenen Anbindung abhängig.
Gerade bei Scenic kenne ich solche Wartezeiten wie Du sie beschreibst nicht, meist sind die Downloads innerhalb 10-20 min erledigt. Das schaffen andere Anbieter nicht.

Yes. The download speed limit is imposed by the server per connection. Additionally I have limited the download to only download 3 maps at the same time. When 1 of those three finished another (if any) is starting. This is all done to limit the load on the server. A server can’t give you all the available download (or for the server this is upload) speed. It needs to have speed for other simultaneous downloaders as well.
But, if I might give a tip: only download the regions where you ride regularly. You can always download (and remove afterwards) the regions for that special trip that you do once or twice a year. Downloading entire continents or very big areas stems from a time when offline maps were sold as a continent. It’s not really necessary anymore. It takes up space and can even impact performance. For planning you don’t really need offline maps.

All in all I´d say that is an area that requires improvement. I want - at least - that I don´t have to watch like a hawk whats happening and have to restart the downloads.

and that went smooth, no download was halted, it took about 8 Minutes to load those 3 regions...
I´ve done what you said and reduced my maps to 4 regions (and erased the others):
Baden-Württemberg
Bayern
Rheinland-Pfalz
Saarland
During the download that now runs since about 20 minutes the download of Rheinland-Pfalz worked fine and relatively quick, the rest got halted now several times (i restarted them several times now as well of course).
All in all I´d say that is an area that requires improvement. I want - at least - that I don´t have to watch like a hawk whats happening and have to restart the downloads.
