No maps appear on new installation Scenic 3 v.3.08 - Fixed (see notes)

U.S. iPhone 11 with lots of space available. Other navigation apps work.

  • Have logged into app with my Scenic account.
  • Uninstalled & reinstalled.
  • Rebooted phone.

I assume I am missing some sort of setup step to get the app to work.

I have searched the forum for "No Maps", and have not found anything that resembles my problem.

Hope someone has a solution.

If not I will email the developer.

Hi Doug,

Developer here. Are you running a VPN service by any chance? The provider's map service has been known to act up with some of those services enabled. Try disabling it, try on cellular data, try another wifi if possible.

Greetings Guido.  That was it.  No VPN, but our house has a very restrictive WIFI system for that does content filtering (we have teenagers).

Switching to another WIFI with no filtering allowed the maps to show up.

Looking forward to using the app.  Thanks very much.
