Need a hi-visibility map color/style for day ride. Advice?
Quote from Neo9686 on 04.07.2022, 03:39Hi, I'm trying different map colors and styles trying to increase the visibility in really bright days. I remember that I could easily understand the curve ahead with version 2, but I can't with version 3 or at least I need to look for a couple seconds more. I believe the problem came in because of a different color scheme and (possibly) a different track/road width on the screen. May I ask a little advice to increase it? Seeing the next curve is more important to me than having a panoramic view of the sorroundings, so I believe it involves the zoom factor too.
Thank you very much. I use a 2020 iPhone SE, not the biggest screen but I used scenic 2 on the iPhone 7 in the past and never had a problem.

With that you can make the contrast between the background and the road as high was you like. Here is a forum thread on that: https://scenic.app/forum/topic/custom-map-styles/
Additionally you could try to set Zoom to 'Manual'. (Settings > Navigation & Tracking > Zoom). And you could play around a bit with the 3D camera angle (Settings > Finetuning).
