Navigation Appearance Option "System"

Sorry for creating confusion. I did not want to change day/night setting. I was looking for an option so that the navigation setting reacts to the dark mode button just like the planning view does. In the planning view this option is called „system“. While in planning view the dark mode button (in my case in the iOS control center) instantly switches to the dark view of the map, this is not implemented in Navigation view. There it is only possible to wait for sunset or hard locking in the dark mode.

The answer is more or less the same I’m afraid. I can’t link navigation appearance to system appearance for above mentioned reason. If I would link it, the automatic appearance switching would also be linked (it’s the same appearance setting you change with control center).
In other words, if I would make it possible what you are suggesting, then you would loose the automatic appearance switching.
I understand what you mean. Indeed when you switch appearance manually through the control center this does happen immediately in planning mode.
I understand that you would also like that to work in navigation mode.
