Navcomm Pro Handlebar Controller

Hi there!
Has one of you already tried out this controller? It is available for both, Android AND IOS devices.
The layout with 4way joystick, 2 separate buttons and 2way toggle lever would be ideal from my perspective and it has a more narrow housing, compared to the bulky barbuttons.

Thomas and me discussed meanwhile with HESA Parts on an alternative button mapping for the zoom in and out. The initial buttonmap had this configured on the 2 single buttons. We requested a change for using the lever switch for the zooming.
We are now waiting for the controllers to be delivered, assembled and tested. As soon as we checked the functionality, we can report this within this thread, if anyone of you is interested to read about it, as well.

Hi,

as Volker wrote, meanwhile we received the NavcommmPro Controllers and adjusted with HESAPARTS the Firmware once more. Now we might need an additional adaptor to bring it in vertical direction on the BMW, that might be different from Motorcycle to Motorcycle. Nevertheless, the Controller works great ( see video….not sure if it works)

Hi Thomas.

Video is starting and control functions looking nice and smooth 👍.

Nice gadget.

The big advantage is definitely the joystick for the panning and the lever switch for the zooming action of the map. This feels very intuitive, instead of pushing single buttons.
The positioning on the handlebar is a different story, which needs to be solved from one bike model to the other. But this is also supported by the narrow design of the housing, when you find a good angular position for the lever, without potential collision with the assembled series bike controller.

For all those, which are interested to purchase such a controller and use it for scenic.app, they need to indicate this by using the buzzword "scenic firmware", during the ordering process, or afterwards via mail with HESA Parts team. Then you will get the controller with the adjusted scenic.app settings on button map 2 instead of the normally used navigation mapping.
