Mixing hwy with curvy
Quote from ABest on 13.04.2025, 08:02Hello from Central Pennsylvania, USA. I’m new to Scenic and looking forward to using it this season. While I haven’t navigated with it yet, I’ve started planning some local routes and watching the tutorials. Excited for the upcoming riding season.
One question I have: on a typical day trip, I might start on the highway, then switch to a scenic or curvy route for most of the ride, and later hop back on the highway to return home. Is there a way to distinguish between these types of segments when planning a route—like marking parts as highway versus curvy? If not, just wanted to pass that on as a suggestion.
Thanks, and looking forward to learning from the community.

Quote from Guido on 13.04.2025, 10:13At this moment it's not possible to use multiple routing modes in a route. The routing provider that Scenic uses only support one routing mode.
There are two workaround for this:
1: Calculate entire route curvy and then remove via points for the first and last stretch (and possible add a few to force the route to the highway)
2: Set start and destination to beginning and end of the curvy stretch and generate a curvy route. Then add new start and end to actual start and end of the route. (the curvy stretch will remain.Hope this helps/explains. If not, please let me know if you have other questions. Happy to help.
Best regards and ride safe,
