Map Scale Missing from display when in Ride Mode

I have an iPhone 17 and am using Scenic 4.31. Even though I have selected to "Show Scale" on the Map Setting page, the scale is not shown when the app is in Ride mode. It does show in the Plan mode or before any mode is selected, but as soon as I select the Red mode, the a\scale bar goes away. This is the same on the iPhone as well as when using CarPlay.

I have tried to delete the app and reload, but the problem persists. Any ideas to get the scale bar back, as I find it very useful when navigating to assess the curviness of the road. I added a couple of screen shots to show the disappearing scale bar.

Thanks, and I love the app by the way. By far the best moto navigation app I have found.

The scale doesn't show in 3D mode because it's basically useless as the scale is different because of the perspective. (You're seeing more distance at the top compared to the bottom)
