Kurvinger
Quote from miros on 06.05.2021, 04:07What’s the benefit - if any - of using kurvinger planning for scenic routes? Clearly there’s a link between the two, as kurvinger offers to export to scenic and does that for no other app, and scenic’s curvy routes appear to be powered by kurvinger. However, when you do try, there doesn’t seem to be any special recognition of kurvinger by scenic, the scenic routes still may differ significantly from the underlying (blue track) kurvinger route.
thank you for your attention.

Quote from Guido on 06.05.2021, 06:39Well, the biggest benefit is to be able to plan using the big screen of the desktop/laptop.
Typically there shouldn’t be too much difference when importing to Scenic, but it is possible that some differences occur. These can mostly be manually corrected though.
If you have the premium plan of Kurviger then you can also choose different routing modes between the points (e.g. fast from waypoint 1 to 2, and extra curvy between waypoint 4 and 5). When planning on Scenic this is not possible.
Scenic does not support this during import either at the moment, so if your Kurviger route has multiple routing modes in one route then this also can be a cause for differences. An app update will be released next week (May 10-14 2021) to be compatible with the multiple Kurviger routing modes.
Hope this helps/explains. If not or if you have other questions please let me know. Happy to help.
