This leaves a comment for the map editors. After you leave a comment, you'll need to wait until some of the map editors in that region pick it up and make the correction. This will depend on how active the OSM community is in your region.

The new map provider of Scenic takes a new extract of OSM every month and then pushes map updates out. So... once the correction has been made, it can take around 1 month for it to appear in Scenic.

When searching for fuel near me, I was "shown" multiple locations which are no longer in business... one of them hasn't offered fuel in over 10 years!  If I'm seeing this within a mile of my fairly rural home, I wonder how many other POI's are inaccurate?

I'll see what it's like to try to correct them... HERE maps never has never responded to my attempts to correct mistakes, nor has maps.me...

For what it's worth: the "button" in question simply lets you leave a comment on the web version of the map itself.  I don't see that there's any way to view these types of corrections/comments on the Scenic versions of the map (I have offline maps), so not sure how helpful that option really is, at least in the short term.

I tried to join the OSM community at the above link, but I get an error message that says, "Unfortunately we are not currently able to create an account for you automatically. Please contact support to arrange for an account to be created - we will try and deal with the request as quickly as possible."  A contact link opens an email to them.  So I'll wait to see when/if they reply.

Indeed. That button leaves a comment, and then it's up to one of the editors in that area to pick up the comment and fix the problem. If you do it yourself, it will be faster. Once that's done... you won't see it immediately in Scenic. Scenic's map provider takes a new extract of OSM data monthly (more or less). Only after they've done that, and you've updated your offline maps,  you will be able to see it in Scenic.
